Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing North Wake Development, LLC. We take pride in delivering high-quality consulting, planning, and historic-preservation services. This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, deposits, and refund requests are handled for work performed by our firm.

1. General Policy

Because our work is professional, time-based, and often begins immediately upon engagement, all consulting and development services are generally non-refundable once work has begun.

However, we understand that circumstances can change, so we offer the following guidelines.

2. Deposits

Some services may require a retainer or upfront deposit.
Unless otherwise stated in a signed service agreement:

  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has started, including research, document review, client communication, or project planning.

  • If no work has begun, deposit refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. Cancellations

Clients may cancel services at any time by notifying us in writing at northwakedevelopment@gmail.com.

Upon cancellation:

  • You remain responsible for payment of all hours worked or services rendered up to the cancellation date.

  • Any unearned portion of a prepaid service may be refunded at our discretion, depending on project progress and contractual terms.

4. Refunds for Service Packages

If you purchased a packaged service (such as a bundled assessment, consulting package, or planning deliverable):

  • Refunds will only be considered for work not yet performed.

  • Any completed work or deliverables (research, reports, site assessments, planning documents, correspondence, or project reviews) are non-refundable.

  • If the project required third-party costs (travel, document fees, studies, etc.), these are non-refundable.

5. No Refunds for Delivered Work

Because our deliverables involve expertise, analysis, and professional labor, any completed work or shared deliverables cannot be refunded, regardless of the client’s use or non-use of them.

6. Missed Appointments or Meetings

If a scheduled meeting, site visit, or consultation is missed or canceled without at least 24 hours’ notice:

  • Any prepaid fee for that appointment may be forfeited.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability.

7. Project Termination by North Wake Development

We reserve the right to withdraw from a project or decline continued engagement if:

  • project conditions change substantially,

  • ethical conflicts arise, or

  • the client does not provide necessary information or access.

In such cases, the client will only be billed for completed work. Any unused prepaid funds may be refunded at our discretion.

8. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

Please include:

  • Your name

  • Project or invoice number

  • Reason for the request

  • Supporting documentation (if applicable)

Refund requests will be evaluated and responded to within 7–10 business days.

​

9. Final Decision

North Wake Development reserves the right to approve or deny refund requests based on:

  • work completed,

  • contractual terms, and

  • project circumstances.

  • customer satisfaction

Decisions will be made in good faith and in alignment with this policy.
